Words Of Not Yet Achieved Wisdom

1. Always make sure that you have something to look forward to; it will make life an enjoyable journey. Always make sure that you have something that you are not looking forward to; it will make you relish the present moment more.

2. Life is a consumer good, not a producer good. Enjoy it while it lasts, it will eventually run out.

3. Live in the moment, but don’t forget about preparing for future moments which you will inevitably have to live in as well.

4. Do not look for your happiness in the future, but do not forget that striving for a better one can bring you much happiness in the present.

5. Only take the road less travelled if you are confident that most travellers are stupid.

6. Do not fear death overly much; it will prevent you from fully enjoying the life that you are trying to preserve in the first place.

7. Be satisfied with what you have, including your natural desire to accumulate more.

8. If you think that the grass is always greener on the other side, then keep hopping that fence! At least you will enjoy the ride.

9. Your own intellect should be your most revered intellectual authority.

10. A life enjoyed is a life well-lived.

I do not consider myself wise for coming up with these little sayings. Thinking up and writing down ‘words of wisdom’ is easy. Consistently living by them is what requires true wisdom, something which I do not yet have.
